14 Days drive to Jimma, Arba minch, Kaffa, Surma village and other interesting omo valley places.
Day 01: Drive to Jimma via Welkite & Weliso, about 350kms
Day 02: Drive to the highland town of Mizan Tefari, about 220kms
This is a drive through the Kaffa region, generally regarded to be the region from where the Arabica strain of coffee originated, and it is also where this plant was first cultivated.
Day 03: Drive to Kibish. Set to the Simi desert southern lowlands roughly 180km south of Mizian Tefari, the unassuming village of Kibish. It is the conventional springboard for excursion to the western half of south Omo.
Day 04: Drive to Kormu en route stop at Magologin visit the Surma people.
The various Surma sub groups all participate in a rigid but egalitarian political system based around age sets. On this day you have a chance to looking the differentia social activities of Surma tripe like tattooing, sucking blood from animals, body painting. Spend the night there.
Day 05: Drive to Adikas and visit the Surma village
Day 06: Drive to Mui to visit the Dizi people.
Day 07: Drive to Llibai hot springs across the Omo National park, possibly to see wildlife and Omo Mursi.
Day 08: Transfer to Coperia by boat to visit the Bume tribes and the Omo Mursi tribes.
Day 09: Transfer to Kelo by boat to visit the Bume tribes and the Muguji tribes.
Day 10: Transfer to Kangate by boat to visit the Muguji tribes and the Karo tribes.
Day11: Transfer to Omo rate by boat and drive to Turmi.
Day 12: Turmi
Day 13: Drive to Arba Minch.
Day 14: Fly/ drive back to Addis Ababa
